Just think of it as fueling your weight loss engine. It takes energy to burn the fat and if your body is energy deprived, then the body naturally wants to store of what you eat into energy reserves. By taking in the 3500 calories along with the rigorous exercise, you turn your body into a more efficient fat burning engine and as a result you lose the body fat that goes towards your percentage body fat.

It is a life style change but can get kick started by the great workout programs that make good use of good nutrition.

Love the site and thanks for all the great posts.

Wow, if I was told to consume more calories to lose weight, I would have thought the guy had lost his freaking mind too!! As you say though, don't second guess people who know what they are talking about (even if they sound nuts). LOL. :)

Hi Fred, thanks for stopping by! Congratulations on your weight loss success. There sure seems to be a strategy to eating and exercise. So much emphasis has been put on eating less to lose weight, in the past, but science and medicine seem to be proving otherwise today.

Hi Rex, Great website! I started a program on Oct 3, 2009 that was monitored closely by a Physician/Nutritionist. He wrote quite of few books on Eating More and Weighing Less. I was just fortunate to live in the same hometown as he did. What he offered was a 10 day program that my wife and I was participants, at the end of the 10 days I lost 22lbs. My blood pressure dropped, cholesterol levels dropped my LDL/HDL counts improved and my Glucose numbers also improved. Its a Life changing program. As of today, I have lost a total of 40lbs and feel great, lot of energy and will add weight lifting to my program. I still have a long way to go but I can say that, I found a Lifestyle Change that has offered me a new quality of life. I haven't posted anything on my blog but I did keep a daily record of my program from day one. I will start posting it soon. Take care and Stick with it!
